According to Portsmouth, a worker at a business in Southsea, Hampshire was beaten with a crowbar and pickaxe during an armed robbery. The incident led to criminal charges, with men involved receiving sentences totalling 21 years, according to an article published on 24 July 2024.
Business owners should ensure staff are trained in emergency protocols and that premises are equipped with visible security measures, including CCTV and alarm systems, to deter criminal activity.
