A cash machine was stolen from a Sainsbury’s supermarket in Milton Keynes in a dramatic ram-raid, according to reports published on 30 October 2025. Masked men used a telehandler to forcibly remove the ATM from inside the store, causing substantial damage to the building’s interior and façade. The operation involved several individuals working together to extract the machine from its fixings before making off with it ahead of police arrival. The incident was witnessed and documented, capturing the precise method used by the suspects. Local authorities launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the theft.
Business owners should ensure ATMs are properly secured and consider reinforced fixtures, CCTV monitoring, and alarm systems to deter organised ram-raids.
