Three men have been sentenced for carrying out a series of cash machine thefts across Lancashire, according to reports published on 6 May 2026. The offences targeted ATMs in Fleetwood and Chorley, including one at a Tesco Extra branch.
The sentences followed investigations by police into the forced entry thefts. According to Lancashirepost, the three individuals—identified as twin brothers and another man—were convicted in connection with the incidents.
The case underscores the vulnerability of unattended payment machines to organised theft. Businesses should ensure ATMs are regularly serviced, well-lit, and positioned in visible areas with working security cameras to deter criminal activity.
