Boilers worth £100,000 were stolen in what police described as a pre-planned robbery at Hillington Park in Glasgow on 25 December 2023, according to Stv. The theft targeted a warehouse facility during the Christmas period, suggesting coordinated criminal planning to exploit reduced security and staffing over the holiday.
Warehouse operators should implement layered security measures including monitored CCTV, alarm systems connected to rapid response services, secure perimeter fencing, and inventory tracking systems to deter and detect high-value theft.
