Thames Valley Police were called to the Nationwide branch on Olney High Street in Buckinghamshire in the early hours of Wednesday morning following a ram-raid attack, according to Bucksfreepress. The building society has had to close after sustaining severe structural damage from the incident.
This is the second time the Olney location has been targeted in a ram-raid attack. Thames Valley Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the attack and to identify those responsible. Businesses should ensure adequate security measures, including bollards and reinforced entry points, to deter and mitigate damage from vehicle-based attacks.
