Several break-ins have occurred at jewelry stores in East Boldon and Seaburn, according to BBC reporting published on 18 December 2025. The break-ins at Blacks Corner in East Boldon and other locations in Seaburn have been described as devastating by local residents in the Tyne and Wear region.
