According to Walesonline, an attempted burglary at Pontins Prestatyn in Denbighshire was thwarted when a security guard discovered the intruders on the premises. The burglars, evidently startled by the guard’s presence, fled the scene before managing to gain entry to the holiday park.
The incident, reported in an article published on 17 July 2025, highlights the value of active security presence in deterring opportunistic crime at leisure facilities. While details of the attempted break-in remain limited, the guard’s vigilance prevented what could have resulted in significant losses to the holiday park operator and its guests.
