A family dog and puppies were stolen from a private home in Coney Weston, near Bury St Edmunds, according to an article published on 3 December 2025. The family described themselves as “devastated” by the theft, Suffolknews reports.
While the theft of pets from homes remains unusual compared to traditional burglaries, it highlights the vulnerability of valuables left on residential properties. Homeowners are advised to secure their gardens and outbuildings, keep doors and gates locked, and consider installing security measures such as alarms or cameras to deter theft and protect their belongings.
