Police have warned of a burglary trend affecting residential properties in Dewsbury and Ravensthorpe, according to Dewsburyreporter. The thieves, reportedly using e-bikes, have targeted multiple homes in the areas.
In reported incidents, burglars made off with a Mercedes, keys and jewellery from the targeted properties, according to the outlet’s coverage published on 26 September 2024.
Residents in both areas are advised to secure their homes with strong locks, ensure valuables including car keys are kept out of sight, and consider installing visible security measures such as CCTV cameras to deter opportunist theft.
