An 86-year-old woman was robbed in a home invasion attack in North Shields, according to Chroniclelive. The incident was described as “mean and nasty” in press coverage published on 12 June 2024. Two individuals were involved in the attack on the elderly resident.
Older people living alone are particularly vulnerable to such crimes and should ensure doors and windows are secure, consider using door chains or viewers, and never open the door to unexpected visitors.
