Knife-point robbery at Darlington supermarket

According to reports published on 17 March 2025, knife-wielding robbers robbed a Sainsbury’s supermarket in Darlington during a late-night raid. The attackers threatened staff members during the robbery and made off with cash.

Northernecho reports this was not the first such incident at the location, as Darlington Sainsbury’s staff had previously been robbed at knife-point. Local outlets including the Darlington and Stockton Times and BBC covered the incident.
