A man from Hull has been jailed following a spree of residential burglaries in Preston during the Christmas period, according to reports from Blogpreston and Lancashire Post. Over the course of his break-ins, the burglar stole approximately £20,000 worth of possessions from homes across the city, including jewellery, electrical items, and designer clothing.

Following an investigation by local authorities, the man was identified and arrested. He was subsequently convicted of the offences, bringing to an end a wave of break-ins that had affected multiple households in Preston during the festive season.

Residents are reminded to secure their homes thoroughly, particularly during periods of high travel and festivity, by installing visible locks, alarm systems, and ensuring windows and doors are properly fastened both when at home and while away.
