According to reports published on 12 September 2025, a masked burglar carried out a brazen theft at a jeweller inside Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe, Kent. The burglar made off with watches valued at over £1 million in what multiple outlets describe as a meticulously planned heist.

The Independent reports the stolen goods were worth £1.4 million. Some accounts note that the burglar gained access by cutting a hole in the shopping centre’s roof before reaching the jeweller. In connection with the incident, a Church Langley man was subsequently charged.

Commercial burglaries targeting jewellers often involve significant planning and reconnaissance. Business owners should ensure safes are secure, monitor roof access points, and consider additional CCTV coverage of high-value stock areas.
