According to an article published on 25 April 2026, a one-man crime wave has struck 13 city centre shops in Swansea over the course of a month. The burglaries targeted various retail outlets across the area, with goods ranging from meat and cheese to sunglasses and other merchandise taken in the break-ins.
For shop owners, reducing burglary risk requires layered security: CCTV systems with cloud backup, reinforced locks and gates, motion-sensor lighting, and alarm systems monitored 24/7 are essential defences against opportunistic offenders and organised retail crime.
