A spectacular ram-raid took place in the early hours of Friday at a supermarket on Berry Lane in Longridge, Lancashire, according to Blogpreston. Thieves used a JCB digger to drive into the front of the store, tearing an ATM from the building. Surveillance footage released by police showed the moment the excavator was driven at the shop’s façade. Police have confirmed an investigation is underway to identify those responsible. Few details have yet been released regarding the number of suspects or their whereabouts following the incident.
