A masked gang carried out a ram-raid on a designer clothing store in Livingston, West Lothian, according to reporting by the Daily Record. The gang smashed a car through the doors of the Flannels store to force entry. After the theft, the vehicle was set on fire and later towed from the scene.
Ram-raids, in which vehicles are deliberately driven into storefronts to breach security barriers, remain a persistent threat to retail premises. Commercial businesses such as clothing stores are frequently targeted for their accessible goods and limited ability to prevent forced entry. Shop owners and managers are encouraged to review security measures, including reinforced entrance barriers, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols, to minimize the impact of such incidents.
