According to Birminghammail, police are investigating after ram raiders used a vehicle to smash through a Heron Foods budget food shop in Birmingham. The incident occurred in the early hours, according to an article published on 11 February 2024.
The raiders made off with two tills and a charity box, though the tills are reported to have been empty at the time. West Midlands Police is continuing its investigation into the incident.
Shops should consider reinforcing their entrances and reviewing security measures to protect against ram-raid attacks, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours when staff presence is minimal.
